It's Always Flyers

The only other show I ever remember really having any well placed sports paraphernalia is Frasier and the SuperSonics. Excuse me, I meant Cheers and any team from Boston. But It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which you may or may not know that we watch occasionally, is always good about involving the local sports franchises in their plots and their backgrounds. It's surprising how much more accessible and realistic a show seems when the characters aren't drinking "Beer" but Coors Light, and don't root for made up teams. And while there have been entire shows devoted to the Phils and the Birds, the bar and especially Dennis and Mac's apartment are good places to take note of The Gangs support for the Orange and Black.

But while I'm a big fan of seeing the Flyers pimped on such a successful show, the fact that Dennis and Mac had a framed picture of Mike Knuble on their bookcase in this past Thursday's episode is reason for concern. Maybe they're not keeping up with the Flyers as closely as they should be. Maybe they really liked Mike Knuble. Maybe the set designer needs to get learned. Maybe they need a Flyers consultant on site?

Yeah, at first I thought it was Primeau in black. But then noticed some orange and think I can see Knuble's skate/shin pad stylings. Bad news for you is that Forsberg's a lefty!

I was looking at that picture for a long while paused on my TV, and to me it looked like an orange, futuristic logo Forsberg pic. Which is even more outdated.
