The Flyers are out west. Further then James van Riemsdyk has ever been. Which may explain why when everyone loaded their luggage onto the bus after the Devils game Riemer was the only player to throw a sleeping bag into the luggage compartment. We managed to get an exclusive phone interview with James van Riemsdyk's sleeping bag thanks to our connections at EMS. Without further ado…

FGSB: So what's it like being out in California?
Sleeping Bag: I really wouldn't know the tell you the truth. I think Jim got a little razzing from the guys about bringing me. They made him open me up and get in me on the bus ride to the hotel yesterday. Since then I've been rolled up in the corner of this hotel room.

FGSB: Is it a nice room at least?
Sleeping Bag: Yeah, it's really nice. And John Stevens is a good roommate. He's very quiet and spends a surprising amount of time sleeping. And when he's not doing that he's usually playing with this race car set he brought from home.

FGSB: Had you travelled on James' previous westward adventure to Kansas City?
Sleeping Bag: Yeah, that was a lot of fun. That was for Bible/Assassin/Art Camp. It was great. There were so many other sleeping bags there - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Transformers, G.I. Joe.

FGSB: Speaking of that, what kind of sleeping bag are you?
Sleeping Bag: Toy Story 2.

FGSB: Do you think that James will be curling up inside you after tonight's game?
Sleeping Bag: To tell you the truth no. And I'd rather he didn't anyway. Actually, I rather I'd been left at home. Last night while John was at the hotel bar James had 7 girls from UCLA in here. They were playing this game where they went around saying things they had never done. But none of them were like "Go to the moon" or "Rope a cattle." They were like "7 chicks at once." Which I don't even get. What could you do to seven chickens at once? Carry them?

FGSB: Well, thank you for your time. We have a game to start getting blacked out for. Anything you want to say?
Sleeping Bag: Yeah, I'd just like to give a shout out to my buddy Tent. What's up tent! And metal coffee cup! What up!
