The Flyers pretended that they had news earlier today when they announced that yes, there will be a Phantoms team this year. A Phantoms team made entirely of players that you would think might be on the Phantoms. They also cut a guy that everyone knew they were going to cut and signed a local kid to an entry level contract that will not be counted as their last contract as he’ll spend the entire year in the OHL.
 
The only real news out of the whole thing was that Logan Stephenson and Tomas Sinisalo have earned a couple more tryout games in the AHL.
 
The only real reason that I’m, you know, really embarrassing the shit out of the Flyers right now, is that they announced that they were going to announce this. Don’t placate me Flyers! I’m not like the 99% of people who need to lift up the top off a cauldron of soup and look at it before I decide if I want it – just put 20 guys in Flyers uniforms and get them out there stomping on people’s dicks!
 
I’m Hungry for More! Wait, I’m Avenged? I Want Revenge? What the hell is the slogan? I’m actually going to have to go look this up….oh shit, RELENTLESS. Yes, that’s what I am. How could I forget that. Actually, they are relentless with their stupid updates. How long’s it been since someone on the team killed something. Why don’t you update me on that.

I'll probably check out Off the Wagon tonight. Can't say I'll be able to honor that tux request (it's at the cleaners), but you shall know me by the trail of dead miller lites in my wake. Actually, how many people are going to be watching the Phils/Marlins and asking if they can get a Flyers/Wings preseason game? I imagine it will be pretty obvious who the Philuffian is.

Jesus Christ. We actually used to live on the corner of 29th and 6th. There's nothing at all cheap around there. If you're willing to take the subway a couple stops down to the Village you'll be golden. Even cabs both ways would be cheaper than the only decent bar in that area - Stout and their $6 beers. It's worth it to head dow a bit and hit up Off the Wagon, the Town Tavern or anywhere around there.

Wear a powdered blue tux so I know who you are.

Going to be in a hotel on 29th between 6th and 7th on Tues and Weds night. Phils games a plus - cheap beer a must.
